Pallapatti is 400 years of old village with nearly 50000 population, among 99% of muslims. There are more than a 2 dozen of mosques. Very Islamic cultured people living here. There is a river called Nangakanchi.  There is a Co-Ed Govt Higher secondary School and An Arabic Girls Higher Secondary School separately.There is a Old Famous Govt Hospital named as Haji Vappu Memorial Hospital servicing the poor patients.Here are more than 10 Old Madarashas in which hundreds of Aalims come out every year.There is an old Sheik Abdul Khader Dhargha, known as originator of Muslim population in Pallapatti.
